Kare Parchment & Leather was founded in 2004 in Istanbul. We manufacture high quality parchment for a wide range of applications including wall and furniture coverings, art canvases, calligraphy supports, book binding, light fixtures and more. We also produce bags and souvenirs. Our products are sold at European and Turkish museums, including Magritte Museum in Brussels, Russian State Museums in St. Petersburg, Sakip Sabancı Museum, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.
We also provide handbags to boutiques in Pavia and Capri (Italy), Melbourne (Australia) and Nuremberg (Germany), as well as selling parchment skins to companies in the U.K., Germany, Italy, U.S. and Japan.
For Kare founders, leather making is a family tradition going back several generations to their grandfathers’ time. They dedicate their time reviving this ancient material and expanding its use in contemporary applications.
